Nexus - New possibilities for sharing info, networking and creating online spaces for HIV, AIDS and health

The AIDSPortal Initiative has developed Nexus, an open-source platform for creating websites. It is designed to meet the unique networking and knowledge sharing needs of networks and community-based organisations. It allows them to build a fully customized, interactive online space with powerful content management and social networking features. We are excited that there are a number of Nexus sites now available:

• HIV Southern Africa www.hivsouthernafrica.info - Collaborative online space for information sharing and dialogue in Southern Africa Managed by UNAIDS, Population Services International, The International HIV/AIDS Alliance, AIDSPortal, The Southern African HIV/AIDS Information Dissemination Service (SAfAIDS), Soul City and Soul Beat Africa.
• Care Givers Action Network (CAN) http://www.caregiversactionnetwork.org
• Interagency Task Team on Children Affected by AIDS http://www.iattcaba.org
• Aidlink www.aidlink.net - Platform for storing, shairng and enhancing data about HIV & AIDS in South Africa
